Caryn R. Sagal, President

Caryn R. Sagal has 30 years of agency public relations experience. While managing campaigns for a diverse range of clients, she has consistently secured broadcast interviews, feature articles and cover stories – in addition to developing branding materials, planning/promoting special events and providing strategic PR counsel.

Baltimore Magazine named her Best Flak (public relations professional) in its highly coveted “Best of Baltimore" issue. She also won a Gold Award from the International Association for Business Communicators-Harrisburg Chapter for leading a national marketing communications campaign for an automotive product launch. Earlier, the Public Relations Society of America-Maryland Chapter named her New Professional of the Year.

Prior to launching her namesake firm in 2019, she served as senior vice president at a Maryland PR firm and managed Baltimore operations for a Harrisburg-based advertising/PR agency. She got her start while attending the University of Maryland, College Park – spending summers at a Baltimore PR agency and working from her dorm while school was in session. Graduating Magna Cum Laude, she ranked #1 in the College of Journalism, receiving the Outstanding Public Relations Senior Award and the Kappa Tau Alpha National Journalism Honor Society's Top Scholar Award.

Paying it forward, Caryn has volunteered on numerous marketing and event committees as publicity chair throughout her career. She even chaired major fundraisers such as The Chocolate Affair and BOOK BASH. For these efforts, she received the following accolades:

  • Spirited Woman Giving Back Award from MyCity4Her.com,
  • Santé Committee All-Star and Mega Publicity awards from the National Kidney Foundation Serving Maryland and Delaware,
  • Outstanding Performance Public Relations Award from the Center for Poverty Solutions, and
  • Szold Award for Outstanding Service from Temple Oheb Shalom.

A repeat presenter to the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit Committee and a featured speaker at AFP’s “Fundraising Day in Maryland,” she currently serves on the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce Board Advisory Committee and previously served on the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society-Maryland Chapter Board of Directors.
